Engines
A Plug-In Hybrid car is a vehicle combining an internal combusion engine, one or even two electric motors and a battery.
PEUGEOT Plug-In Hybrid vehicles are fitted with the new electrified 8-speed automatic transmission, the e-EAT8.
*The electric range achieved in real world conditions will depend upon a number of factors including, but not limited to: the accessories fitted (pre and post registration); the starting charge of the battery; variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load. The WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) is used to measure fuel consumption, electric range and CO2 figures.
Lithium-ion Battery
PEUGEOT Plug-In Hybrid cars have a Lithium-ion battery, included in the purchase of the vehicle.
The battery life of a hybrid car in 100% electric mode can reach up to 55km for PEUGEOT 508 GT FASTBACK Plug-In Hybrid. The high voltage battery is located under the rear seats.
For Plug-In Hybrid vehicles, there is an "e-SAVE" function allowing the driver to provide a reserve of electrical energy. This reserve allows the driver to use it at will during this journey.
Under the new, more stringent local standard, PEUGEOT 508 Fastback and Sportswagon models have achieved a 5-star ANCAP safety rating, proving that it has safety credentials as good as it's performance.
