PEUGEOT AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES NEW HYBRID VEHICLE RANGE WITH ALL-NEW PEUGEOT 308 AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER NOW

Frugal on the fuel but plentiful in features and style, the PEUGEOT 308 GT Hybrid is set to land in Q1, 2025 with pre-orders now open.
 

• Featuring a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol three-cylinder hybrid engine for a combined power output of 100kW/230Nm.
• Of course, with a reputation for innovation, the high-tech thinking beneath the bonnet of this PEUGEOT also permeates other aspects of the new 308 GT Hybrid. Utilising regenerative braking, the energy from using stopping can be recovered to charge your battery, which in turn recovers driving range enabling the potential for more than 50% of the drive time to be in 100% zero-vehicle emission electric mode, (depending on driver inputs and driving conditions).
• A new 6-speed electric dual-clutch automatic gearbox (e-DCS6).

After recently announcing its move to bring a whole new line up of hybrid models, PEUGEOT Australia has opened up pre-order of the 308 GT Hybrid. The 2025 PEUGEOT 308 GT Hybrid is the second model in an ongoing cadence of offerings guided by PEUEGEOT’s global strategy that'll meet the needs of Aussies and the distances needed to travel. This newest PEUGEOT offers the best of both worlds and serves as an example of the brand's multiple pathways to a new era of electrification in automotive.
 

The “Power of Allure” design language employed on the 308 GT brings a bold blend of modern styling and sporty visual elements, while its interior offers the latest in technology, including an expansive list of ADAS features and dual display screens (10-inch instrument panel display and infotainment touchscreen display).
 

With CO₂ emissions of just 95g/km², the 308 GT Hybrid is helping assist in the low-emissions charge. A 0.9kWh battery allows limited electric-only driving as well as significantly boosting the overall efficiency of the car in hybrid mode. Together, engine and the electric motor make 100kW channelled to the front wheels. In addition, thanks to regenerative braking, the battery automatically recharges while driving and means it also capable of operating more than 50% of the time in 100% zero-emission electric mode.

The launch is in line with PEUGEOT Australia’s continued electrification journey in the Australian market. The brand is excited to announce that its Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and passenger vehicle ranges will transition to hybrid powertrains, a move that started with the popular PEUGEOT 3008 and is now extending to the iconic PEUGEOT 308 – with both available to pre-order now. 
 

Introducing the All-New, Next-Level PEUGEOT 308 GT Hybrid.
 

The local arrival of this premium hybrid hatch is set to appeal to customers wanting European style and refinement, in a hatch with a performance and ride quality that rewards the driver. Powered by an efficient 1.2L Turbo hybrid engine, delivering 100kW of power with 230Nm of torque, the 308 GT Hybrid will deliver a combined cycle of 4.2L/100km² of fuel consumption with CO₂ emissions of 95g/km².
This new 308 variant also arrives with a stunning new colour palette, with the standard PEUGEOT 308 GT Hybrid debuting in the new hero colour - Obsession Blue. Outside there are plenty of other highlights to appeal to drivers seeking a hatch with genuine originality - including:

• full matrix LED headlights and the guide-me-home headlight function. 
• While the distinctive fang-shaped LED daytime running lights, which are unmistakable PEUGEOT style, are paired with full LED 3D rear lighting to create a striking claw like effect. 
   

The PEUGEOT reputation for quality continues inside with the signature PEUGEOT i-CockpitTM layout, complemented by the smaller sports steering wheel in full grain leather with 'Adamite" green stitching and GT badging. Adding to the interior comfort is the inclusion of a heated steering wheel function and the 8-colour customisable ambient lighting in the cabin.
 

Premium cabin materials include 'FRAXX' Tri-Material Alcantara seats with 'Isabella' leather effect and "Adamite" green top stitch. Behind the wheel the driver is kept informed of the vehicle’s vital signs via the configurable 10-inch digital driving display. The other main display in the cabin is the 10-inch high definition capacitive central touchscreen, which hosts a range of intuitive functions that can be controlled via the customisable i-Toggle shortcuts that provide quick access to items such as radio stations, frequently used contacts, vehicle settings and more.
