May 2023: Standing out with a dynamic fastback silhouette and its unmistakable style, the arrival of the all-new PEUGEOT 408 in Australia was announced in May 2023 and scheduled for late 2023.

This new age PEUGEOT offers a feline stance and unique allure, engineering excellence focused on efficiency, as well as cutting-edge technologies dedicated to driving pleasure and instinctive use.

"2023 is a momentous year for the brand locally as we continue to introduce electrified variants across Passenger, SUV and LCV segments. Aligning to our electrification journey, the dynamic PEUGEOT 408 will launch in a single powerful plug-in hybrid variant in Australia.

"We strongly believe the captivating design excellence of the new 408, combined with the intelligent plug-in hybrid powertrain, will attract discerning local customers."

The PEUGEOT 408 plug-in hybrid variant will offer drivers a total of 165kW of power resulting from a 132kW PureTech engine combined with an 81kW electric motor.

In addition, 408 provides the latest generation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, instantly recognisable by its compact steering wheel dedicated to driving pleasure and controlled agility.
