EMP2 PLATFORM

The new Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2) has been developed in order to perfectly integrate the specific components of each energy, without compromising on performance.

OPTIMAL AND IMPERCEPTIBLE TRANSITIONS

To alternate between electric and combustion engine, the torque converter of the combustion engine versions is replaced by a wet multi-plate clutch to provide 60Nm more torque attributing to more responsiveness

ELECTRIFIED AXLE

On the HYBRID4 Peugeot 3008 GT Sport Plug-In Hybrid AWD, the multi-link rear axle is equipped with a 83kW electric motor to provide all-wheel drive, without impacting on passenger space

COMBINATION OF AN ELECTRIC MOTOR & PETROL ENGINE

PETROL COMBUSTION ENGINE

The 1.6 PureTech engine has been adapted, with an alternator-starter and a specific cooling front panel. It produces 133kW on the HYBRID engine in the 508 and 147kW on the HYBRID4 engine in the 3008.

NEW ELECTRIC AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

The PureTech engine is paired with the new 8-speed e-EAT8 automatic gearbox. Combined with the gearbox, an electric motor produces 81kW on the front axle

PLUG-IN HYBRID VEHICLE BATTERY

Lithium-ION TYPE

The high-voltage battery is of the Lithium-ion type (300V) and is located under the rear seats on both HYBRID and HYBRID4 (all-wheel drive) versions. The battery has a capacity of between 11.8 kWh* and 13.2 kWh**

The battery comes with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for 70% of its capacity.

In order to optimise CO2 consumption as much as possible, choose 100% electric driving for your daily shorter journeys. Charging the battery regularly or simply overnight to is recommended to experience the benefits of the electric driving capabilities.

NEW BRAKE FUNCTION

This system makes it possible to recover energy available during braking and when decelerating. This action allows partial charge of the high-voltage battery to increase the range when driving in electric mode.

The new Brake function allows the vehicle to decelerate without pressing the brake pedal by acting as an engine brake and in turn, recharging the battery.

DRIVING MODES

Electric: default mode, make the most if all the benefits if an electric vehicle.
Hybrid: allows you to drive both on electric and internal combustion engines depending on your driving style and the type of road you are driving on.
Sport: enjoy maximum engine torque performance with the combination of both engines.
Comfort (508 GT Fastback Plug-In Hybrid Only): combines hybrid mode with the comfort of active suspension to ensure better road grip, while maintaining optimum comfort.
AWD Mode (3008 GT Sport Plug-In Hybrid AWD only): AWD mode continuously increases the vehicle’s traction at low and medium speeds on all four drive wheels and is particularly suitable when requiring additional stability and control on challenging terrain.

NEW E- SAVE FUNCTION

With the e-SAVE function, the driver can set aside a reserve of electrical energy to be used when desired. The function can, for example, keep a reserve of electrical energy in anticipation of a restricted traffic area.

Accessible from the e-SAVE menu on the touchscreen, simply select Zero Emission mode on the driving mode selector on the 100% electric driving.

PEUGEOT i-COCKPIT TM

The PEUGEOT i-Cockpit^TM incorporates driving information in the driver's field of vision . It is fully customisable and configurable.

A power meter to the right of the digital instrument panel is made up of 3 zones:

ECO for energy efficient driving
POWER for more dynamic driving
CHARGE for energy recovery phases

There are two gauges on either side of the instrument panel: one for fuel, the other for electric. The available range, in kilometres is indicated below these gauges

E-EAT8 GEARBOX

The PureTech engine is paired with the new 8-speed e- EAT8 automatic gearbox. Combined with the gearbox, an electric motor produces 100hp/80kW on the front axle

PEUGEOT PLUG-IN HYBRID CHARGING

PRIVATE CHARGING

Charging the battery regularly to one hundred percent in both the 3008 GT Sport Plug-In Hybrid AWD and 508 GT Fastback Plug-In Hybrid, is recommended to experience the benefits of the electric driving capabilities. Charging the plug-in hybrid vehicles overnight via a mode two charging cable is a seamless and hassle-free approach.

For the 508 GT Fastback Plug-in Hybrid’s 11.8kWh battery capacity, charging from zero percent to one hundred percent can take approximately five hours via a 2.3kW mode two cable. Similarly, for the 3008 GT Sport Plug-in Hybrid AWD’s 13.2 kWh battery capacity, charging from zero percent to full capacity can take approximately five and a half hours via a 2.3kW mode two cable.

However, charging times are dynamic depending upon a variety of variables, including the starting battery charge, charging equipment and ambient temperature.

DOMESTIC SOCKET

A cable can be purchased as an accessory if you wish to use this method, although it is not our recommendation for everyday charging. PEUGEOT recommend that you have any socket you plan to charge your vehicle from fully checked and authorised for suitability by a certified electrician.

WALL BOX

Using a Wallbox saves you significant charging time, meaning you can recover your entire driving range in just a few hours.

Charging from a Type 2 (Mode 3) dedicated electric vehicle charging Wallbox is PEUGEOTs recommended way to charge your vehicle. The Type 2 cable needed for this type of charging is available as an accessory and can be purchased through your local PEUGEOT dealer.
