The PEUGEOT 2008 SUV offers agile and efficient performance thanks to its award-winning PureTech turbo engine in combination with the advanced EAT6 six-speed automatic transmission.
The PEUGEOT 2008 SUV has a high level of active safety and are equipped with Electronic Stability Control as standard. This comprises Traction Control (ASR), Stability Control (CDS), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Anti-wheel lock braking system (ABS) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBFD).
ESC is combined with Hill Assist, which briefly immobilises the vehicle, giving you time to move your foot from brake to accelerator when starting the car on a slope.

Active City Brake is an advanced safety technology which makes it possible to avoid an accident or reduce its seriousness if the driver fails to react. It works in urban conditions, at speeds of less than 30km/h. A short range sensor is fitted to the top of the windscreen and can detect other vehicles that are driving in the same direction or stationary. This will automatically trigger an emergency brake to stop the vehicle and avoid a collision entirely, or limit the consequences of an accident by reducing the speed of impact.
The PEUGEOT 2008 SUV features our award-winning PureTech three-cylinder turbo petrol engine guaranteeing performance and economy producing 81kW of power, and 205Nm of torque at a low 1500rpm.
Compared with a similar four-cylinder engine, the Puretech Engine is 12kg lighter. It also owes its high-level of performance to optimised combustion and limited internal friction. Despite offering remarkable performance, this engine is also very economical, with up to 25 per cent lower fuel consumption (4.8L/100km highway cycle and CO2 emissions (110g/km) compared to a four-cylinder engine of the same power.
No wonder it’s been awarded International Engine of the Year in its class (1.0L to 1.4L) in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
The PEUGEOT 2008 SUV now features the EAT6 six-speed automatic gearbox as standard, optimising fuel consumption while heightening your driving sensations. Also included is Quickshift technology, which delivers frequent gear changes swiftly and fluently.
Meanwhile, its yield (energy efficiency) virtually equals that of a manual gearbox thanks to a reduction in internal friction and the addition of converters that lock whenever required to avoid slippage.
All of which means the difference in emissions between this and a manual gearbox has been cut down to just 7 g/km of CO2, making the PEUGEOT 2008 SUV an exceptionally fine performer in terms of both driving enjoyment and fuel consumption.
The high performance, versatile and efficient PureTech engine offers a responsive driving experience on the PEUGEOT 2008 SUV without compromising on fun and enjoyment.
The springs, shock absorvers, anti-roll bars, front wheel axle unit and rear cross member have been specially designed to allow the entire engine assembly to deliver the most dynamic performance possible.
The weight-optimised drivetrain combines simplicity and reactivity, offering the perfect balance of comfort and road holding to guarantee real driving pleasure.
