Most Beautiful Car 2009
The RCZ coupé has been named Most Beautiful Car of 2009 at the prestigious 25th International Automobile Festival. This is a very special prize as the winner is determined by votes from the general public – it is the fourth time that Peugeot has won this award. From more than 65,000 votes cast worldwide, the RCZ scored 33 per cent of the votes to claim the illustrious title of Most Beautiful Car in 2009. The RCZ coupé boasts an expressive, energetic styling; its most characteristic features being the double bubble roof and rear window, and the two aluminium arches.
TopGear Coupe of the Year 2010
The UK’s influential BBC Top Gear Magazine has announced the Peugeot RCZ as the Coupe of the Year at its 2010 Awards. In naming the Peugeot RCZ as winner of the Coupe of the Year the magazine said: "The Peugeot RCZ is a beautifully balanced car, easy to drive quickly. Low and wide, it always feels completely on your side, gripping hard, resorting to understeer only at the limit. The Peugeot RCZ is positioned as a small, sophisticated GT, and fills it perfectly." The RCZ embodies Peugeot’s new branding project launched early in 2010 and expressed in the new by-line “MOTION & EMOTION” – confirming for many that Peugeot has entered a new chapter in its 200th anniversary year.
Australian International Design Awards
Peugeot’s stunning RCZ was honoured in July 2011 with a “Good Design” by the Australian International Design Awards. More than just the embodiment of a concept car, the RCZ sports coupé marked a new stage in the line-up of Peugeot’s “leisure vehicles”, whilst also being the first Peugeot product to benefit from the latest Peugeot Lion brand identity.
