The Peugeot 3008 is packed with technology, including breakthrough developments that improve safety and driving pleasure while reducing the car’s impact on the environment. Innovations include Dynamic Roll Control and Head-up Display with Distance Alert radar (depending on the version). In addition, the construction of the car itself involves cutting edge technology and materials to reduce weight and emissions without compromising safety.
Panoramic glass roof
3008 passengers will enjoy a vast sense of space and light inside due to its impressive panoramic glass roof. It is made of over-tinted, laminated glass designed to limit heat transfer in the cabin. You can control the brightness inside by using the electric sunblind.
Head up display
This innovative safety technology projects all essential driver information such as vehicle speed, cruise control / speed limiter and distance alert* information at eye level, so you can keep your eye on the road at all times. *Depending on the version
Distance alert®
For more safety and control, this new innovative system (depending on the version) helps you to maintain a safe distance from the car in front. The Head-up Display highlights the time, in seconds, between you and the vehicle in front. Using toggle switches, you can adjust the time set and the Head-up Display highlights this information. This innovation also reduces potential hazards by projecting all essential driver information at eye level, so you can keep your eyes on the road at all times.
Electronic Gearbox Control (EGC)
Peugeot's intelligent transmission technology, Electronic Gearbox Control (EGC) is available with the 1.6 HDi diesel engine. EGC is a 6 speed transmission controlled by state-of-the-art electronics. It can be driven either by manually changing gears without a clutch pedal, or fully automatically, by allowing its sophisticated electronics and robot-controlled clutch to do all the work. In manual mode, the driver can either change gears sequentially from the gearbox, or by the steering wheel-mounted paddles - F1 style. In automatic mode, simply put the gear lever in ‘A’ and let the 3008 do all the work. The availability of EGC is timely and relevant in today’s economic climate thanks to its significantly lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions even when compared to an automatic, and even lower than a traditional manual. It is also a more affordable option compared to a traditional automatic transmission.
Grip Control®
The 3008 compact SUV takes you off-road in search of a new driving experience. Snow or sand, winter or summer, the 3008 adapts and shows off its all-terrain capabilities. Grip Control®* features special 16" Mud and Snow tyres to provide greater traction control for the two-wheel drive 3008 and deliver calm driving and more adventure. *Grip Control® is standard on models with a manual or EGC transmission (not available with automatic transmission).
Dynamic Rolling Control
Thanks to Peugeot’s expertise in roadholding technology, the front and rear axle systems on 3008 are designed to provide handling worthy of a saloon. Dynamic Roll Control® improves the car's dynamic qualities, reduces roll and delivers even greater comfort. This rear hydraulic suspension coupling system optimises the compromise between comfort and body resistance on corners.
Bluetooth / USB connection
3008 offers a bluetooth and USB connection as standard. These latest generation on-board systems are elegant and contemporary in design. You can listen to the music you love or make a phone call without breaking your driving concentration, making for stress-free driving.
