SAFETY

A responsive vehicle, the 3008 employs the latest technologies to better ensure the safety of its occupants and other road users. It delivers dynamic behaviour of the highest standards, alongside a high level of safety which ensured the 3008 achieved the maximum 5 star Euro NCAP safety rating.

5 star Euro NCAP

The European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) assesses the safety levels of every new car. The 3008 achieved 5 stars in the adult occupant protection tests, the highest level possible and proof of Peugeot's real commitment to your safety.

Airbags

The Peugeot 3008 is fitted with 6 SMART airbags that inflate in relation to the force of the impact, giving you exactly the right level of protection.

Advanced brakes

The 3008 is naturally equipped with a powerful, durable braking system designed to help maintain the car's composure even in difficult situations. The sophisticated, new-generation ABS incorporates EBFD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) and EBA (Emergency Brake Assist). EBFD controls braking wheel by wheel for greater efficiency, particularly when braking in corners. EBA automatically applies more braking force in the event of sudden braking to increase the efficiency of your braking. The hazard lights are also automatically illuminated in the event of heavy braking. It's easy to see that when it comes to safety, the 3008 has real stopping power.

ESP

The 3008 delivers a dynamic yet safe performance across the range thanks to its safety equipment. ESP (Electronic Stability Program) associates stability with the traction control system (ASR) to enable you to preserve the control of your 3008. It detects, in a fraction of a second, whether the 3008 is going into a skid (understeer or oversteer) and then counteracts it. It can even reduce engine power to increase the car's stability, or to apply the brakes or engine management to limit wheel spin when traction is poor.

Electric parking brake

3008 is fitted with an electric parking brake as standard. The brake automatically engages when the engine is switched off and releases again when the driver accelerates. It is combined with the Hill Assist function, which temporarily prevents the car from rolling on a hill thus giving the driver time to accelerate smoothly away.
