PEUGEOT COMFORT & DRIVING AID TECHNOLOGY

Discover the many technologies that contribute to PEUGEOT's driving comfort:

HILL START ASSIST

Thanks to Hill Start Assist technology, pulling away and manoeuvres on slopes are made easier.

When you're on a slope ( > 3%), the Hill Start Assist function allows you to hold your vehicle still for a moment (about two seconds), giving you time to switch from the brake to the accelerator pedal.

REVERSING CAMERA

The reversing camera uses the central display and makes everyday parking manoeuvres easier. It's a driving aid system that visualises the vehicle's size and trajectory by means of coloured lines, making manoeuvring easier and safer.

HANDS-FREE ACCESS AND START-UP & HANDS-FREE TAILGATE

HANDS-FREE ACCESS AND START-UP

Hands-Free Access and Start-up is a system that allows the vehicle to be unlocked, locked and started as long as you have the electronic key with you.

HANDS-FREE TAILGATE

The hands-free tailgate allows the motorised tailgate to be opened or closed. The tailgate can be opened and closed in several ways:

  • using the electronic hands-free access and start-up key
  • using the external or internal controls on the tailgate
  • using the control on the dashboard
  • using the "arms full" access under the rear bumper

The "Access with arms full" function allows the vehicle's motorised tailgate to be opened or closed with a simple movement of the foot under the rear bumper.

VISIOPARK 1 & 2

The vehicle is equipped with a 180° video camera on the boot lid (Visiopark 1) and in the radiator grille (Visiopark 2). This system allows you to view the immediate surroundings of your vehicle on the touchscreen with the help of cameras. The parking sensors add to the information gained from the view from the top of the vehicle. An image of the top of the vehicle in its immediate surroundings is reconstructed in real time as the manoeuvre progresses, allowing 360° vision.

This visualisation makes it easier to align your vehicle when parking and to see all obstacles that are close by.

PARK ASSIST

Thanks to lateral ultrasound sensors, this system provides active parking assistance:

  • it identifies a parking space according to the size of the vehicle thanks to sensors installed on the front and rear bumpers
  • it then takes control of the steering system to park in this space

The driver manages acceleration, braking, gears and the clutch (manual gearbox). During parking entry and exit, the system provides visual and audible information to the driver for safe manoeuvring. The driver can take back steering control at any time by holding the steering wheel.

Park Assist provides assistance for parallel parking (entry and exit) and bay parking monoeuvres.

AUTOMATIC MAIN BEAM SWITCHING

The vehicle is equipped with a camera located at the top of the windscreen to analyse light sources. This system automatically switches between main beam and dipped beam headlights based on lighting conditions and other cars on the road. Because of this, it can optimise the amount of time you're using the main beam headlights for added safety.

ROAD SIGN RECOGNITION AND RECOMMENDATION

The camera at the top of the windscreen detects and reads speed limit signs and end of speed limit signs, and displays them on the instrument panel. The system also takes account of the speed limit information given on the map in the navigation system. Specific speed limits, such as those for trucks, are not displayed.

The speed limit recommendation completes the tool: the driver can choose to adapt the vehicle's set speed to the speed limit read by the camera.
